Happy Halloween

Hope you all had a very Happy Halloween. We had a great one! This was the Piglets first Halloween and he had no idea what was going on. Every time T-bone (AKA the Joker) would come by him he cried. The Princess was the Queen Devil, Piglet was a Lion.

Piglet Sitting Up and The Princess with Rocks

Here is a video of the Piglet sitting up by himself, he just started this today. Now if he would only roll. He will roll off of his belly but he has only rolled from his back a few times. He is just not interested in rolling.

The Princess went on a field trip to the gravel pit today and loved it. She loves to collect rocks. Here is a video of one of the things she learned on the trip.

Pumpkin carving

We carved our Halloween pumpkins today. T-bone got to use the power tools by himself. He cut out the top on 3 of the 4 all by himself. This is the first year that the Princess cleaned and cut hers all by herself.

T-bone is the skull and bones, Steve's is the bucktooth, Princess’s is the scary one, and mine and Marcus is the one will all the holes.Have a Happy Halloween!

Nashville Trip

So every year I go to a work conference in Nashville, TN. I love to go see my boss and spend 48 hours with just adults. This was the first time I have left the Piglet. Steve and the kids did a great job taking care of him. They said the first night he cried the whole time and would not take his bottle. He gave in and ate the next morning and was great from then on.

We always go out and do something fun for dinner this year we went on the NashTrash Tours! Here is the web site you can see how interesting it was. http://www.nashtrash.com/ I can’t say it is the best thing I have done when I have been in Nashville. Then we went and ate at BBKings.

The Princess made a Goal and Raspberry Picking

The Princess made the first goal of the season! It was her first and the team’s first also. All the parents were cheering and the girls gave her big hugs. We won 2 to 0! The Princess teacher Miss Wade came to the game. Four of the girls on the team have her for their 2nd grade teacher and they were all so excited to see her come. We took her out to get Cold Stone Ice Cream to celebrate. We have another game today…hope it is a good as Saturdays’ was.

After the game we went Raspberry Picking with some friends. This is one of our favorite things to do out here in Michigan. Only because the kids eat more then what goes into their bucket. Now I have to make raspberry pie.

24 Hour Update on T-bones

24 hours latter T-bones allergic reaction to the Sycamore tree is worse. His face is covered with more and has swollen up even more. It has started to blister on his nose. He now has the rash on his chest, arms, neck and the back of his head. This is all with taking two different medications and a cream to put on it. After going to the doctors again they are sending us to an allergy specialist.

No More Climbing Trees

T-bones went out and climbed this tree with some friends. Look harmless does it? Read on.
So there has been three times this year when T-bone has gone out in to the woods with friends and some how was the only kid who touched Poison Ivy. We have taken him to the Doctor and this is what they said he had touched. We found this very odd that out of all the boys he was with each time he was the only one who got the rash. (He does have his dad’s bad luck) So when he got up this morning whit his face swollen and covered in the rash you see below. I asked him “Did you go in the woods?” He said “No, but we did climb a tree by the soccer fields.” So I called the doctor and they told me to take a picture of the tree, get some of the bark and a leaf to bring in with me. Come to find out that T-bones is allergic to Sycamore Trees and never did touch Poison Ivy.
So if you have a tree that has bark like this we will not be visiting you anytime soon.
