Christmas 2008

Christmas was great. T-bones got up early and helped Steve make breakfast. Princess got up just a little bit later (she likes to sleep in even on Christmas). We had the Dodge Family over for breakfast and to open Christmas present. This was the second year they have been able to join us for Christmas morning. It will be sad next year when we will be in different places.

The Christmas tree before the kids got to it.

Piglet opening his first present, with lots of help from T-bones and Princess

Princess and one of her many presents, she loves crafts.
T-bone and his present, the I-pod Touch. We wrapped it up in a big box so that he could not guess what it was by the shape.

Princess making one of her cooking crafts
I then took T-bone and Princess out sleigh riding. Just a side note on the 26th I went to the doctors and found out that I have a very bad case of Pneumonia and should not have been out sleigh riding.

Steve and Piglet took a nap instead of sleigh riding.
We also went to Christmas dinner at the Wilcox home.

Piglet wants to be just like all the big kids.

I had to post these pictures of the aprons that Alyssa made for the Princess to give to her friends for Christmas. Thanks Alyssa she loves them and I am sure her friends will too.

The Tree is Up

The kids put up the Christmas tree on Sunday. T-Bones and Princess decorated it all by themselves. It was nice not to have to help this year. They did such a great job. Piglet loves looking at the tree. Especially when T-bones will lay under it with him.

Smith family update

We are still in Ann Arbor, Steve has only 5 more months of Dental school and then we are done. We still have not found out where the Navy is going to move us. We will post it when we find out. I am still working full time from home and taking care of the kids. T-bone’s is now in 6th grade. This is his first year in Jr. High (yes I had a very hard time letting him go). He is doing great in school and is still playing the cello. He also is wrestling and has been invited to go to Austria as a People to People Sports Ambassador for wrestling. The Princess is in 2nd grade, and loves school. She is doing great at reading and loves the Magic Tree House books. She loves playing soccer and takes great care of Piglet. Piglet is getting so big you would never know he was born at only 5 pounds he is now 16 pounds and in the 25% for his height and weight. He has a very strong personality and is in no rush to get moving (rolling or crawling). He does what he likes which at the present time is being held by anyone and everyone. He lets us know that every time we set him down. In fact, his body barely ever touches the ground, you could say the kid is slightly (extremely) spoiled by both his parents and siblings.

We hope you have a very happy and healthy holiday season. We love comments so please let us know that you visited.

Love,
The Smith family

He Rolled

Piglet finally rolled from his back to his belly. I know he is only 6 month 3 week and one day old. Who knew it would take so long. Those of you who have not been at my house may think that I am kidding but Piglet could roll from his belly for a long time now but would not roll from his back. When you tried to show him not only would he not roll he would push against it. Today at 11:10 am EST he did it. The sad thing is that Steve has been working hard all Thanksgiving weekend to get him to roll and Steve is now out of town for the week. Hope you read this honey. I would put a pictures but I can not get them off of my new camera. So I will put a video on when I find out how to do it.
